About me

Hi, I’m Rebecca, the heart, hands, and camera behind Rebecca Dawn Photos, serving Minot, North Dakota, and the surrounding communities.

Minot is woven into my story in a way no other duty station could be. It’s where I became a mom, taught for seven years, and learned the importance of community. Now, I get to bring my photography and doula work back to North Dakota families and the military community at Minot AFB.

My photography journey began with my son. I wanted to preserve every curl, dimple, and gummy smile as he grew far too quickly. Motherhood taught me how quickly the details disappear, but it also showed me how easily mothers can disappear from the story. I want you to have more than beautiful photographs of your children. I want you to see the way they reach for you, settle against you, and experience you as home.

Today, I specialize in maternity, birth, newborn, and family photography. As a former teacher, military spouse, mother, and certified birth doula, CD(DONA), I bring patience, calm, and care to every experience.

You don’t need a spotless home, perfectly behaved children, or a polished version of your life. I’ll guide you, quiet the distractions, and preserve the beauty already happening.
